TURN-BY-TURN DIRECTIONS

Find your way easily. Turn prompts and alerts warn you of upcoming turns.

ROUTE RECALCULATION

Pause navigation and reroute when going off course to explore new paths. When you want to return to the route, the Edge Explore 2 will show you the way.

CLIMBPRO: MANAGE ASCENTS

Automatically see the remaining climb and gradient when riding uphill following a route. This helps you estimate the effort and time needed to reach the top. You can even save climbs to view later on the device or in the Garmin Connect app.

E-BIKE COMPATIBILITY

If you have an e-bike compatible with SHIMANO STEPS or ANT+® technology², you can view a special e-bike status page with data fields like battery life and more. Smart routing and range alerts based on battery, motor assistance, and planned route are also available.

VARIA COMPATIBILITY

Pair the Edge Explore 2 with your Varia radar for enhanced cycling safety. Detect vehicles up to 140 meters behind you and alert them with the bright rear light.

INCIDENT DETECTION

This Edge device automatically sends a message with your location to preset emergency contacts if an incident is detected.

BIKE ALARM AGAINST THEFT

The bike alarm is PIN-protected, and you receive notifications on your paired smartphone if your bike is moved while you’re away, e.g., grabbing water or taking a short break.

COMPATIBLE WITH TACX INDOOR TRAINERS

Pair the Edge Explore 2 with your Tacx® indoor trainer to train anytime and anywhere.

QUICK SETUP

After pairing with your smartphone, keep an eye on your riding buddies. GroupTrack is available for riders using compatible Garmin devices and allows you to track up to 50 people simultaneously.
